The Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival has three more days to go. This event is ten days when we celebrate lovely gardens, hydrangeas, and the cultivation of local non-profits.

Here are some things you might want to know, plus some sneak peaks at just a few things you’ll see if you visit my gardens.

1  My gardens will be open on Friday July 14th to  benefit of the Barnstable Education Foundation. On all days the hours are 10 to 4. Cost is $5 per person, pay at the gate. No advance tickets needed.  We are also selling great new varieties of Hydrangea plants!

2. To download a list of all the gardens that will be open for the Barnstable Education Foundation, and see the addresses and directions to these gardens, click here.

3. To find a list of all the gardens open during the festival, on a day-by-day basis, click here

4. To see or print a list of the descriptions of all the gardens open during the festival, click here.

5. With the exception the PAM’s Secret Garden Tour on the 16th, all open gardens are “pay at the gate” with no advance tickets necessary. $5. per person per garden.

6. There are many events associated with the hydrangea festival. From talks to tours, you’ll find many opportunities to learn and have fun during this Cape-wide garden party. See a list of events by clicking here.

Here are just a few peaks at some of the things you’ll see if you come to my gardens during the festival:

The entire Cape is Bloomstruck! Or so this ‘Bloomstruck’ Hydrangea seems to be saying in my garden. I have over 30 varieties of hydrangeas in my gardens, many of them in flower for the festival.

My allium schubertii are like fireworks exploding in my lake-side flower bed. (Thanks to Brent and Becky’s Bulbs where I bought these alliums.)

Here’s my outdoor office – with a new selection and arrangement of containers this summer. A shady workspace with a sense of place!

Come see some of the new Proven Winners introductions such as this amazing Stormburst Superbena. You’ll get an advance look at plants that will be available in garden centers next summer.

Sit down under my shady arbor and chat with me…ask your garden questions, or talk to me about what you must be sure to see while you’re in my garden.

Tried to sign up for the breakfast tour on Friday but it wouldn’t accept my post, wanted a valued price, I put in $15.00 and would like two tickets.

      Ellis,
I’m sorry that you’re having problems. Maybe it wouldn’t accept because you’d put in 2 tickets but a price of $15. instead of $30? All I know is that when I tested it for one ticket it worked, and many others have also signed in for a ticket. So if it doesn’t work for you with 2 at $30. you might try doing it one at a time. I hope to see you early on the 7th!

Hi CL, guess I am too old, I put in $15.00 and it asked for a valid price for one meal.

I’m so sorry, Ellis – the link I put up doesn’t seem to be working although the one on the BEF Events page is. It’s not you! You are welcome to come that morning and pay cash at the gate. I’ve reserved a place for you and your name will be on the list – just let me know if you’re coming – 2 people, right?
